HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM WOVEN LABEL FOR YOUR CLOTHING BRAND?

When it comes to clothing, woven labels are still the most popular way of label branding. There are quite few reasons for it:

  1. High Quality: Woven labels are one of the highest quality labels available.
  2. Durability: Woven labels won't fray or fade over time, so your label will always look as good as the day it was sewn into your product.
  3. Customizability: Woven labels can have endless customizations. You can choose from a range of different finishes with yarns that are all colorfast. A high level of detail can be achieved using just a few colors.
  4. Softness: Custom woven labels are soft around the edges without feeling flimsy. This is perfect for applications inside garments as they will sit smoothly without irritating the wearer.

Woven Labels typically show off the branding of the item maker and in a nut-shell communicate your brand to the customer. This means that coming up with a brand logo design is central to getting consumers to buy into your clothing.

So, how do you design a custom woven logo label that captures the attention of potential customers as well as reflect your brand? What goes into the creation process?

While every brand will have its own style, there are some features that we can point out that will help your clothing and apparel brand design a perfect label.

1.Search for inspiration from other BRAND logo design

It's normal to look at similar brands in your same market as a starting point, especially if it is the first time you are designing a label. Take note of the dimensions, colour patterns, quality and where and how on the woven label is attached on the garment.

2. Decide the label content and adjust the label size accordingly

Be careful, you don’t want to squeeze in too much information on your label. It will make the design look quite messy. We normally recommend logo woven labels to contain only two things: the logo design and a line of text underneath representing the BRAND name or the BRAND slogan. Once the content is finalized, you can figure out the size of your label. Keep in mind that most logo woven labels a re 60 x 15 mm or 20 mm.

3.Use Contrasting Colours

When developing your woven labels, the importance of color selection cannot be overstated. You want your labels to stand out, and employing contrasting color schemes is a great way to do so. The point is, you must maintain consistency with your whole brand. It's fine to be unique and innovative, but don't do it at the expense of your brand's visual identity.

4.Consider where to attach the Clothing Label

The size and position of the label go hand in hand. You should spend your time determining where on the clothing to place the label so that it is not bothersome and still has a visual impact on the consumer. Always remember you don't want the label to clash with the rest of the garment design; it should blend in effortlessly.
