Custom Embroidered Patches

Custom embroidered patches are fabric badges with raised, three-dimensional stitching that reproduce logos, text and artwork onto a woven base. Unlike printed or woven labels, embroidered patches use dense thread layering to create a tactile, premium texture that stands out on garments, accessories, bags and uniforms.

Our custom embroidered patches are available with three backing options:

• Sew-on: The most durable option — stitched directly onto the garment for a permanent, long-lasting attachment
• Iron-on: Heat-activated adhesive backing for quick application without sewing — ideal for garments where needle holes are undesirable
• Velcro: Hook-and-loop backing for removable and interchangeable patch applications — popular for uniforms, bags and tactical gear

Our minimum order quantity for custom embroidered patches is 100 pieces per design. This applies to all backing types and sizes. For orders above 2,000 pieces, volume pricing is available — contact us for a custom quote.

Embroidered patches are among the most wash-resistant branding options available. Our patches use OEKO-TEX certified threads that are:

• Colourfast — resistant to fading even after repeated washing
• Machine washable at up to 60°C
• Safe for tumble drying at medium heat
• Resistant to fraying and thread pull

For iron-on patches, we recommend waiting 24 hours after application before the first wash and turning the garment inside out to protect the patch during the cycle.

The key differences are texture, detail and aesthetic:

• Embroidered patches: Raised, three-dimensional stitching with a classic, tactile texture. Best for bold logos, lettering and designs that benefit from visual depth. Thread count is lower, giving a traditional handcrafted look
• Woven patches: Flat, smooth surface woven at high density. Better for fine detail, small text and complex multi-colour designs. More modern and minimal in appearance

Many brands choose embroidered patches for their main logo and woven patches for secondary or detail labels.

Our design team will prepare a high-resolution artwork proof showing your design with accurate colour representation and stitch detail simulation. Production only begins after you approve the proof. Unlimited revisions are included at no extra cost.

Our embroidered patches are available with three edge finishing styles:

• Merrowed border: A stitched thread border sewn around the perimeter — the classic patch look. Adds a raised edge that frames the design and reinforces durability
• Embroidered border: The entire edge is covered with dense embroidery stitching, creating a fully embroidered finish with no exposed base fabric around the perimeter
• Hot cut (laser cut): A clean, precision-cut edge with no stitched border — ideal for complex shapes, irregular outlines and a modern, minimal aesthetic

Merrowed and embroidered borders are available in any thread colour to complement or contrast your design.

We accept the following file formats for custom embroidered patch artwork:

• Vector files (preferred): AI, EPS, PDF, SVG — these provide the cleanest results for embroidery digitisation
• Raster files: PNG, JPG at 300 DPI or higher
