HOW TO APPLY IRON-ON WOVEN LABELS AND PATCHES
Labeloom can manufacture custom woven labels and patches that come with heatseal, also known as iron-on backing.
If you have bought this type of labels from us, please follow our comprehensive step-by-step guide below for applying our iron-on woven labels/patches on your garment.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING AN IRON-ON EMBROIDERED PATCH
*Wash your garment before applying the patch for optimal results.
STEP 1. Preheat the iron to medium-high.
Wait a few minutes, take a drink, turn on some music, and let the iron heat up.
STEP 2. Place the garment flat on a hard surface.
A heat-tolerant surface, such as a strong table, wooden cutting board, or Mom's granite countertops, is what we mean by surface. NOTE: While padded ironing boards will remove wrinkles from your clothing, they will not adhere your new patch well.
STEP 3. Cover the garment with a cloth or a piece of fabric.
This is an important step meant to prevent your iron-on woven label or patch from being scorched.
STEP 4. Apply firm pressure straight down with the heated iron for about 45".
Do not move the iron side-to-side as you would ordinarily - keep firm and steady. Allow it to cool slightly before proceeding to step 5.
STEP 5. Turn the garment inside out and iron the back of the label for an additional 30 seconds.
No need to cover this side with a piece of fabric. Be sure and apply constant pressure once again.
STEP 6. Check that the backing is securely attached to the garment.
Wait for a few minute to cool down and then enjoy your awesome branded garment.
Wait for at least 48 hours before washing, and turn garment inside out when doing so.
